Office Hours: Our Connection to Constituents

Office hours are a critical tool for us  to maintain an open line of communication with our constituents. These sessions, typically held in various locations within and across our district, provide a direct and personal way for constituents to express their concerns, seek assistance, or offer input on legislative matters.

One of the primary reasons we host office hours is to ensure accessibility. Office hours allow our team to go to our constituents which can break down barriers, allowing individuals from all walks of life to engage with our office. Whether someone needs help navigating state programs, resolving issues with government agencies, or simply want to voice their opinion on a policy, office hours provide a convenient and approachable platform. This accessibility is especially crucial for constituents who may feel overlooked in the broader political process.

In addition to accessibility, office hours serve as a valuable tool for gathering feedback for our office. We rely on these sessions to gauge public sentiment and gather firsthand insights into the issues affecting our constituents. This direct feedback can shape legislative priorities and inform decision-making in the Senate. By engaging with constituents regularly, we can better understand the diverse needs and concerns within our districts, leading to more effective and representative governance.

Overall, office hours can help us get to know our communities, while also helping to bring state government closer to our communities.
